Affiliation: John Somberg is currently a Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology at Rush University in Chicago. He also serves as Chief the Division of Clinical Pharmacology and the Director of the Masters in Clinical Research Program at Rush University. Dr. Somberg is the Editor of the American Therapeutics and has served for 14 years on the Circulatory Device Advisory Panel with the FDA. Dr. Somberg completed a cardiology fellowship at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Harvard Medical School, ran the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service at Albert Einstein and was the Chief of Cardiology at the Chicago Medical School prior to his current position. His areas of specialization are anti-arrhythmic pharmacology and drug and device development.
Affiliation: Dr. Scheinman graduated from Johns Hopkins in 1956 and from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1960. He is currently Professor of Medicine at UCSF and Chief of the Genetic Arrhythmia unit. His research interests include studies on mechanisms and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias as well as discovery of novel genes for genetic arrhythmia syndromes. He was the first to perform catheter ablation in humans. He was awarded the Pioneer Award from the Heart Rhythm Society and the Outstanding Scientist Award from the American College of Cardiology.
Affiliation: Moustapha Atoui is a Board certified Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist. He finished his residency and Fellowship at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center and Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He pursued his Electrophysiology fellowship at Kansas University Medical Center. Dr Atoui is interested in clinical research. His interests include: Atrial Fibrillation, Ventricular Arrhythmia and Left Atrial Appendage Exclusion.
Affiliation: Dr Rod Passman is a Professor of Medicine and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Center for Atrial Fibrillation. He did his medical school and residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed his training in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Pennsylvania where is also obtained his Masters Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He joined the faculty of the Electrophysiology Section of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1998.
Affiliation: Santhosh Reddy Mannem is currently pursuing his internal medicine residency in Columbia University at Harlem Hospital Center, New York. He will join Albert Einstein College of Medicine as a Heart Failure Research Fellow from July 2013. He has special interests in Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation .
