General Faqs

1) What is open access ? How much does it cost to publish or read JAFIB

Open Access is defined as : "the publication of material in such a way that it is available to all potential users without financial or other barriers". The only requirement you have to fulfill to access JAFIB full text is that you should get registered for free. We only ask for your name and email, this is needed because we have enabled comments on published material - and we need to know who is making comments. It does not cost you anything to read/publish in JAFIB.

2) Is this peer-reviewed?

Yes. We have an international panel of editors, and the editor-in-chief is Dr. Andrea Natale.

3) Who publishes JAFIB ?

JAFIB is published by CardioFront Inc, 11213 Delmar St, Leawood, KS 66211. The technical support is provided by Jafib Team.

4) How does the copyright work ?

All material published in JAFIB has a Open Access license, the copyright is owned by the author or the original copyright owner. CardioFront LLC or its affiliates do not have any copyright or ownership on the material published in JAFIB.

5) So how does the revenue model work ?

This is an attempt to challenge the conventional scholarly publishing model, with the aim to make knowledge free for all. The primary source of revenue for the journal is advertisements and sponsorships. Please note that we do not support direct advertising at this point, and this policy may be revised in future.

6) How can I submit my manuscript ?

Assuming that you have registered please login and go ahead and submit your manuscript online. If you face any challenges we are happy to help you, please write to editor@jafib.com.

7) What is JAFIBs impact factor ?

All new journals take on the average 2 years to get an impact factor. We hope the consistent quality of scholarly material and large readership will help JAFIB get a good impact factor soon.

8) Is this indexed ?

Yes it is Indexed in Pubmed, DOAJ, Google Scholar, Cross Ref. For Medline/Pubmed indexing we have to wait till three issues are released. We use advanced indexing techniques to make your manuscripts more "visible" in all search engines like google, yahoo etc.
