    Affiliation:Dr. Fontaine is Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and Director of the Arrhythmia Services. He attained an M.B.A. in the specialty of Healthcare management from the Lebow College of Business and is a life-time member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society (Summa cum Laude).   • Dr. Roger A. Winkle, M.D. FACC, FHRS.

    Affiliation:Director of Electrophysiology at Sequoia Hospital, Redwood City California and founder of Silicon Valley Cardiology, E. Palo Alto California. He was trained as an electrical engineer. His early interests were in the clinical pharmacology of antiarrhythmic drugs and ambulatory ECG monitoring. He subsequently helped refine the implantable defibrillator to make it a clinically viable option by developing the first tiered-therapy defibrillator and he introduced defibrillation threshold testing, the transvenous defibrillation lead and the biphasic defibrillation waveform. He has founded several companies in Silicon Valley. Current research interests include improving the safety and efficacy of atrial fibrillation ablation and anticoagulation in the peri-ablation period.

  • Dr. Federico Lombardi, MD, FESC.

    Affiliation:Professor of Cardiology at the University of Milan and Director of Cardiology/CCU at San Paolo Hospital in Milan, Italy. He is member of the Nucleus of the Working Group of E-Cardiology of the European Society of Cardiology.Main research interests involve pathophysiological mechanisms and treatment of atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction and sudden cardiac death, non- invasive assessment of cardiovascular function, autonomic control and cardiac pacing.

  • Dr. Sanjiv M Narayan, MD, PhD, FHRS.

    Affiliation:Dr. Narayan has been trained in software engineering and neuroscience in addition to Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Medicine. He maintains an internationally recognized clinical and research group, focused on clinical care that has led to unique ablation therapies for AF and ventricular arrhythmias. Dr. Narayan's research in patient care has led to over 100 publications, over $4 M of funding, and several prizes and awards. Dr. Narayan is the Director of fellowship training in arrhythmia medicine at UCSD, and sits on National committees for fellowship training. He has been voted as one of San Diego's Top Doctors, and has received teaching and national research awards for advancing patient-care. He maintains active board certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Medicine and Internal Medicine.

    Affiliation:Dr. Saad completed medical training and cardiology fellowship at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, followed fellowship in Electrophysiology and Pacing at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA. Further PhD program and thesis was performed at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Main areas of scientific interest are in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachyarrhythmias as well as cardiac ressynchronization therapy and left atrial appendage occlusion. Currently Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing and Director of the Center for Atrial Fibrillation at Hospital Pró-Cardíaco, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Scientific Director of the Brazilian Society of Cardiac Arrhythmias (SOBRAC).
