  • Abstract Title: Role of Percutaneous Left Ventricular Assisst Devices in Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation. Abstract Summary: The role of percutaneous left ventricular assist devices (pLVADs) for hemodynamic support during Ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation was assessed in a multicenter study. Patients with intra aortic balloon pump (IABP group) were compared with patients with either Impella or a TandemHeart device (non-IABP group). They concluded that Impella and TandemHeart implantation for unstable VT ablation help in performing more activation mapping, ablating more unstable VT’s and requiring fewer rescue shocks during the procedure when compared to using IABP.
