We have come a long way over the last century in how we used X-rays for medical uses. However, we are still dependent on X-rays in everything we do in both diagnostic and therapeutic realms across various subspecialties of cardiology. The use and dependence of fluoroscopy grew proportionately as the percutaneous minimally invasive techniques evolved to replace several surgical approaches in almost every field of medicine.
